This section documents how BFDev work moves from discovery through release.

Use process/ for the handbook itself: - workflow overviews, companion guides, and supporting notes - authoring guides - publishing and release process notes - reusable templates

Use artifacts/ for the actual challenge, specification, story, and delivery artifact sets produced by that process.

Read these in order for governed engineering work:

5. System Design only when the current story depends on longer-lived design context

Use In-App Docs Authoring when the delivered work changes user-facing help or guidance. Use Release Notes when the delivered work changes what should appear in release communication or when a weekly published note is being prepared. Use GitLab Feature Flags for BetterFleet Manage feature-flag rollout, stage language, release-note handling, and retirement expectations.
